SIDE EFFECTS OF NASACORT AQ
Some of the side effects you may experience when taking Nasacort AQ include:
Sore throat
Nosebleeds
Cough
Flu-like symptoms
Headache
As with all intranasal corticosteroids, some patients experience nosebleeds from
local irritation of the spray. This type of irritation can be caused by improperly
spraying the medicine on the nasal wall. If you are having problems with the use
of an intranasal steroid, please ask your doctor how to properly administer the
medication.
Important Safety Information
Do not take Nasacort AQ if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
Patients using corticosteroids that weaken the immune system are more susceptible
to infections and should avoid exposure to chickenpox or measles.
Talk with your doctor if you recently had nasal ulcers, nasal surgery, or trauma.
Talk with your doctor if you have a history of eye problems or experience a change
in vision.
Intranasal corticosteroids, including Nasacort AQ, may cause slowed growth in children.
The most common side effects include sore throat, nose bleeds, cough, flu-like symptoms,
and headache.
Infections of nose and throat may occur.
Use only as directed by your health care provider.
